Positive Product Points
Ok, I think we all need a reality check on the Technivorm line of drip coffeemakers. Clearly these are good coffee makehuman makers and they look cool to boot. No other line of coffee makehuman makers gives you that unique industrial look (except maybe Bunn, but Bunn makers still look like something you see at 7-11, which is to say "cheap"). But we have to get honest with ourselves makehuman that this is drip coffee, which is not hard to make, and most drip coffeemakers makehuman produce perfectly acceptable coffee. The Technivorm is no exception--it makes good coffee. But you're not going to get the blow-your-mind type extraction from this system. If you really want that, get a vacuum pot or spend half your morning doing pour over. Really what you are paying for with the Technivorm is having a cool looking coffee maker which most people won't know how to use and have never seen before. You can say that it is "handmade" in the Netherlands and certified by the Specialty Coffee Association of America and the European Coffee Brewing Center (whoever the hell they are), and uses a heavy duty copper boiler. But the Moccamaster isn't going to blow other forms of coffee making out of the water and the coffee is perfectly acceptable but not out of this world. Buying Experience
