Hi, I'm looking for a new tamper for my peacock lady. Currently I still use a 48mm tamper. The screens of the Pavoni have but about 49.3 mm. I think therefore my channeling problems come .. In my research I came across the Tamperbells and meet pretty coffee percolator much my needs (49mm and convex), except for the price. I think that's almost outrageously expensive. Is there still a more favorable vll also used alternative? Otherwise, I tend to use the following. Although actual plan, but the diameter seems selected sensibly: Pavoni Tamper 49.1 mm - Espresso Parts, Pavoni, Faema, Vibiemme, Gaggia, Rancilio, Bezzera, Astoria, coffee percolator Elektra, San Marco, BFC What do you think? Convex is supposed to be very useful when Einzelsieb.
Re: Buyer's Guide: Tamper for La Pavoni Euro Piccola (50mm) wanted! I have about 10 years, used the supplied Plastiktamper without problems. Mostly coffee percolator it is not on the tamper, if there are problems during brewing, but the powder.

For channeling, there may be a number of reasons, diligent and uniform filling the portafilter usually solves most problems. I have in my Euro Piccola long getampert with a no-name 48mm Tamper - no problems. Since I have the Tamperbell with 49mm convex makes the Tampern Although significantly more enjoyable and relaxed goes out of hand, but the result in the cup has been improved by not really noticeable. I also have the 49mm tamper Concept Art When Einersieb fits the very good, lacking even if the edge is still a "mu" (or μ?); when Zweiersieb he is just a millimeter too narrow. Sure, the rope would be a little faster and easier if the tamper better fit, but whether the result any better, I doubt it. I get lately with eierndem rope very good results, but most likely it would even work without it.
Re: Buyer's Guide: Tamper for La Pavoni Euro Piccola (50mm) wanted! I use a 49mm tamper Torr. That makes so although more joy than with the supplied plastic part. Making a difference in the cup but not to notice. I think especially with the Pavoni, the Tampern should not be overrated.

With proper freeness and eierndem tampern excellent results. But retaining only the use of Zweiersiebs on the Pavoni is not useful (unless of course double ristretto)
Re: Buyer's Guide: Tamper for La Pavoni Euro Piccola (50mm) wanted! Soo, NEM month tests I came to the fact that I can do excellent results with the eierndem tampern (original plastic tamper). Unfortunately, there's something missing in "value". Does anyone know a convex 49.5mm Tamper?

Re: Buyer's Guide: Tamper for La Pavoni Euro Piccola (50mm) wanted! I use a Concept Art Tamper. In my Pavoni Pro (after coffee percolator 2000), I have found that a 50 is ideal. The fits me really perfect, had previously a 48er, which was cumbersome because the coffee grounds coffee percolator had always pushed to the sides. Of course you have not had because of the tamper coffee percolator channeling problems, eh. I do not know a convex 49.5mm Tamper. Why should the fact be convex better? The water comes from above but like a cylinder with a non-convex pressure. And with a puck it is not yes to an archway where an incredible amount of weight is placed on it. The puck may indeed anywhere. The pressure is everywhere coffee percolator the same size in the filter holder, so I do not see why you should have a convex tamper.
