I purchased the Techni-Vorm CD Grad (1.8L) AO instead. Boy am I happy. coffeecup Easy to use, fast setup for making a new pot of coffee, brews fast ~ 6min 40secs, easy to clean. Pay attention to the filter size. This unit takes big basket style filters. I purchase coffeecup Techni-Vorm filters and they fit great. Since it does not have a clock or programmable setting, I stalled a timer on my outlet and plug the unit into the timer. Then I can program my coffee to brew at the right time in the morning. What a wonderful product.

The lid totally comes off the carafe for easy cleaning, & fits snug enough that you don't have to hold it closed coffeecup while pouring. The reservoir is large enough to make filling it very easy. This coffeemaker coffeecup doesn't have all the bells & whistles that some would like, but it brews so fast that you can just turn it on when wanted. It does have an automatic off after 2 hours. The only thing that would improve it is to have cup markers on the carafe & the reservoir. I just used my old carafe to find the 10 cup marker (which is the amount I usually coffeecup make) & thus now know how much to fill.
