The Saturday, February 8, I got up on 5:15 pm., So I went on while the outermost coffee adventure since I'm writing this blog. I decided overlooked, nims to know, to discover yet almost undiscovered and taste tasted. The aim was for you to discover another Slovak coffee roaster. After returning from the trip, I stayed by myself surprised and tired that day I traveled impressive 529 km. Veni, vidi ...
In Martin in Kollárova Street. the family house located next Slovak coffee roaster, roaster marked simply Pavel Kubej. Roaster is not in the historic center, but has relatively good access to rail and bus stations, car even better as it can be parked right in front pražiarňou. It took me to the station within 15 minutes walk. Roaster you can not miss from the outside is strongly labeled Cafe or Coffee roaster. The publicly accessible part of the cafe is a gift shop (alcohol, chocolate, other sweets etc.), background cafe and sitting at 5-6 table. Tables are just opposite bar, but seating is not seen very coffee. Order to be right at the counter (unattended), but as soon as you order, the staff will ask you to sit down and bring you coffee. When I repeated it twice, I have not attempted fate and so I sat down. The first order was espresso. Although they have the bare two mills with full hopper of coffee, I did not learn what is in their coffee. As well as its own roaster nims roasted espresso blend, I assume this was just about the coffee. Two additional questions: little nims or bigger? with milk? I stated order espresso, classical, without milk, pure. After a while I was serving Mrs. drink clean water, chocolate, nims 2 packed sugar (white) and espresso. Espresso extracted about 27.95 seconds, while the weight of the resulting drink was about 46-47 g. Espresso prepared from 7 grams of coffee in my stack of pre ground in the mill. Espresso little nutty and consistent Crema. The aroma and taste, I find nothing more than average nims and profiled. Although I drank espresso without any self-denial. While I watched the cafe, but the lack of vision on the espresso machine I'm really getting in closer knowledge of the plot. What I noticed, and I reproach is incorrect heating of cups as all were put on the coffee machine upside down. After a while I tried cappuccino. Again, call me to sit down and bring me coffee. Cappuccino was prepared in unnecessarily large cup, the extraction time I have to rush at a cafe did not measure. The big mystery for me is to prepare this drink, because the milk foam was no coffee ring, just in the middle could see which way flowed coffee. Milk foam unnecessarily aerated, its thickness was about 0.5 cm, the residue was Doli hot milk. Really hot. This drink I have not finished.
In the cafe you can buy roasted coffee that you know milled. In four of the glass cylinder on the wall of the different types of coffee, below them are in small amounts even further. They also have coffee already packed (250g). Because nims I wanted more samples of coffee, I decided to only 100 g packs, filled the trays. Unfortunately, in the cafeteria or on the packaging is not the date of roasting. Equally lacking expiration date, despite the fact that the package is the pre-printed information. As for the coffee nims package, to the non-filter paper bags with a "clip". The coffee a person they do not know anything more, so you buy only Ethiopia, Costa Rica, India (100% robusta), but without specification of the region, the farm, the altitude of the collection or processing. nims According to the price of coffee (100g Positions from 2.23 to 3.08, then 1 kg from 22.30 to 30.80 ), coffee package and the lack of information, it seems to me that this does not address the roaster roasting coffee selection (Specialty Grade by SCAA). She roaster is not presented as a specialty coffee roaster, so it's okay. It actually roaster is not present at all, does not have its own website or e-shop, does not account for social networks, just about anything it can not know in advance. During the visit, I realized that Roaster is exclusively devoted to the local market (
