Nena Que rico! Not knew the Carissa! Que rico love the smoothies! ;) Reply Delete

This is the third public smoothie but as I said in the first post are many fruits with which we do so today I leave you with one that will not repeat many times and not because we liked it. Unless the request and send me home the moment will not be able to take it. Carissa macrocarpa is a thorny evergreen shrub native to the coastal areas of the Natal province in South Africa. Its leaves are glossy dark green, thick and leathery and can withstand carboy drying winds and salty breeze from the sea. Thick spines are branched in a Y-shaped It has large white flowers about 5 cm in diameter. At maturity the fruits are red, very showy, egg-shaped, about 4 cm in length. When cut exudes a white latex, which makes it an unusual and exotic fruit. The pulp is sweetish and rich in vitamin C, pleasant flavor. The fruits should be eaten fully ripe, since estarlos not toxic. Blossoms and bears fruit all year round, but the peak season to bloom May and September is very resistant to drought is a rustic plant, undemanding, which can be grown in various soil types, but prefers sandy, well- drained, tolerates poor soil salinity. Shrub is very suitable for tropical and subtropical garden, with very low maintenance. It is a beautiful ornamental plant for its foliage dense and compact. It can be planted in stands, gardens, golf courses, planters, balconies. But not tolerate frost, carboy so I'll stay with the desire to grow it in my deck. Now I leave somoothie recipe I did with her for tea. Carissa smoothie ....
Ingredients: Carissa. 1 Strawberry Yogurt. 2 cups milk. Preparation: First remove the skin to carissas carboy and seeds you have, is a bit entertaining but easy to do. Once they are all placed in the glass of the blender add the yogurt and milk in a blender is ground and ready to serve. Here you have a photo so you can see the carissa.
